Dr. Leshell Hatley is the Creator of Myles & Ayesha. She is also an STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) educator of 20+ years. She has taught all ages – from 3-73! …and maybe older. She has a BS degree in Computer Systems Engineering, a Masters degree in Computer Science (both from Howard University), a Masters from the University of Maryland, College Park, where she focused on Human-Computer Interaction, and a Ph.D. in Learning Technologies from George Mason University. She is the Founder and Executive Director of Uplift, Inc. a 501c3 STEM education nonprofit in Washington, DC founded in 1999, that has won many awards, global recognition, and has even made history with Youth APPLab, the first program in the USA to teach middle and high school students how to make mobile apps.
How does all the above relate to Myles & Ayesha?
This knowledge and experience has led her to combine her ways of teaching, the importance of cultural relevance and personalized learning, and technology to create Myles & Ayesha.
Dr. Hatley is extremely intentional while instructing and guiding students. This same care goes into everything related to Myles & Ayesha!
